ACI International Council meeting was held in London 20-22 of March 2019
On March 20-22, 2019, the annual ACI Council Meeting was held in London - the governing body of ACI International, where national associations were represented by their heads, with voting on the agenda topics in proportion to the membership of national associations.
As part of this forum, participants took part in the ACI UK Square Mile Debate, with the participation of Bank of England, on the introduction of the FX Global Code.
Regional group meetings were held: Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa; ACI Management Board; ACI CFP and ACI FX Committee; ACI Regulatory WG; General meeting of the ACI Council.
In particular, questions were raised on them:
* EU benchmark regulation
* EU FX swaps reporting
* IM phase 4 and 5 roll out
* Brexit - key considerations for the FX market
* FX outlook - Review of FX outlook
* Global code of Conduct update (Cover and deal, Disclosure, buy side outreach)
* MIFID II update
* Consultation on the euro.
At the ACI Council meeting, reports from regional groups were heard; a report was presented on the implementation of the strategy for developing educational services; financial report is presented (the Association ended 2018 with a record profit); resolved the composition issue of the Selection Committee for hiring an ACI Managing Director; formed a working group to amend the ACI Charter; discussed dates for future meetings:
